Even though entering their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

Another victory in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity

This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
